HAVE YOU HAD MUCH EXPERIENCE HELPING PATIENTS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER?

Yes, this clinic came about as a way of streamlining the ever growing patient numbers Carla and her colleagues were seeing looking for support after a diagnosis of cancer, during treatment and beyond. Through Peninsula Herbal Dispensary, the physical home of PROSPER Cancer CARE, Carla has been supporting a group of people with cancer since 2013.

DO YOU ONLY OFFER TELEHEALTH ONLINE CONSULTATIONS?

No, PROSPER consultations are available in person or via Telehealth. PROSPER Cancer CARE is purposefully virtual, providing Telehealth to remove the limitations that often inhibit access to top quality care for oncology patients, including travel, finances, location and accessibility. But we also offer in-person appointments from our physical home at Peninsula Herbal Dispensary - Shop 1, 84 Main St, Mornington, Victoria AUST. Although we are very experienced in providing our services via Telehealth should a physical assessment be required we will provide appropriate referral solutions for a physical assessment if required.

WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS?

Our team of Clinicians and allied health support personnel all have Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy &/or Nutritionist) qualifications or higher, along with additional post graduate qualifications in Integrative Oncology.

WHY DO YOU WORK YOUR CONSULTATIONS IN STAGES?

From our experience we have found the 7 stage approach of our treatments over a 6 month period ensures the best care and outcomes for patients diagnosed with cancer, no matter if they are recently diagnosed or further along in their experience. During the 7 stages we take a full body approach to improving health; addressing multitudes of causes, drivers and body systems for a truly personalised approach.

Appointments after stage 7 are an opportunity for patients to maintain their wellbeing long term with our team.

We aim to ensure our patients feel a sense of wellbeing, empowered by their knowledge and supported by their integrative care team.

WHAT THERAPIES DO YOU USE?

Our clinicians prefer to recommend nutritional, botanical and lifestyle medicines. This will most likely include a prescription for supplements, lifestyle and dietary changes. However we do support and recommend pharmaceutical prescriptions and services where appropriate too.

CAN I USE MEDICARE OR PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE?

We are a full fee paying clinic and are not currently able to access private health insurance rebates for our consultations,

we will update here if this changes as expected in 2024. Medicare is not available for naturopathic services.

WHAT SUPPLEMENTS DO YOU PRESCRIBE?

To ensure the supplements utilised are of a quality suitable to address our PROSPER Cancer CARE Plan goals and strategies we only use our preferred TGA approved therapeutic brands. We have partnered with our physical location Peninsula Herbal Dispensary and Vital.ly to ensure prompt dispensing, collection or delivery of the products you have been prescribed.

I HAVE MY PRESCRIBED CARE PLAN, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

If you are visiting our physical location at Peninsula Herbal Dispensary you will be able to collect your supplements. If you are using our Telehealth service you will receive communication from Peninsula Herbal Dispensary who will organise to deliver your prescribed products themselves or through Vital.ly. They will contact you after each consultation to confirm your collection or preferred postage details.
